Making Mosaics

In Art, we have been developing our mosaicing skills. Progress is slow and it is time consuming but we are looking forward to seeing our finished artworks. We have each designed a symbol of Confirmation and have been transforming these into colourful mosaics. Here are a few photos of us at work:

  3. Hello 5/6 M and M,
    Lilli here.
Sue I bet you really miss art just as it says in your comment.
Making the confirmation mosaics took forever but it was fun.
They all turned out great I loved mine I made a red cross which
had a small gold cross inside of it.
A red border and some people said whoa that’s a lot of red but turned out to be very
effective. Then a half blue and half purple/pink background.
Mary told me the about the red border and guess what ?
It was her first art lesson ever in her whole time at Holy Spirit so it was exciting for her
too. I think she did a great job at teaching art.
What design would you do ?

  4. Hello I’m Hollie from Constantine Primary school. I love art and mosaics. I love some of the pictures that you are making. Could you post the pictures of them when they are finished? Bye

  5. Hi from 5/6Marianne,
We enjoyed making mosaics too. They look so effective in the Church especially when you are standing a short distance away, as the metallic tiles glitter. We are looking forward to our next art project!

  7. Hi 5/6 M and M,
    Your mosaics look fantastic.
It took along time to stick all the tiny squares on the paper.
I did a gold cross with a rainbow background.
I can’t wait till the next art lesson.
